Luke got his start at Creative Energies as a college intern in 2010, and quickly realized that Wyoming was the place for him. He has been installing Solar PV systems at Creative Energies since 2012, and is currently enrolled as an Apprentice Electrician. He lives just outside the town of Lander with his girlfriend Leah, their four-legged monster–Hoot, and their chickens– Jethro and Doyle. He’s been lucky to have had the opportunity to employ skills that he learned at Creative Energies to design and build an off-grid power system for their small off-grid cabin. Their shack is powered by the efforts of 3 solar panels, a 12-volt battery bank, and oodles of firewood. He spends his time in and around Lander riding mountain bikes, exploring the Wind River Range, fishing and hunting (rather unsuccessfully) for trout and ungulates, tinkering with off-grid living, and enjoying the slow pace of a Wyoming mountain town. For him, the small family atmosphere and the focus on sustainability sets Creative Energies apart from others in this growing solar industry.
