Summary of Position:
The Marketing Coordinator will support efforts in increasing Creative Energies’ recognition, generating leads, and educating the community about solar. The Marketing Coordinator will be customer-facing, first point of contact for inquiries, help organize events, support marketing campaigns, schedule webinars, network, engage community partners, gather market intelligence, and implement social media strategy. They will periodically update the company website and create project-specific websites. The Marketing Coordinator may pursue other initiatives from organizing a community solar workshop, teaching a high school environmental studies class, creating a July 4 parade float, or tabling at the local farmers’ market.
Creative Energies operates in three states and serves diverse populations. The Marketing Coordinator will implement marketing strategies developed by the Marketing Manager to drive sales in all of our operating areas.
The Marketing Coordinator will support relationships with local media, business, nonprofits, and individual influencers. They will bring experience and insight into creative marketing and branding strategies, create professional presence at events, and will collaborate with sales to generate leads.
Success will be defined by increasing solar adoption in the community and by increasing Creative Energies’ market share and overall sales.
Communications, company-wide (40% of time)
-Monitor and respond to incoming phone calls, emails, webchat, and social media inquiries Qualify and route inquiries to appropriate team member or department
-Enter and update customer contact records
-Represent company at public events
-Nurture customer relations from initial contact to after installation
Marketing, Salt Lake area and company-wide (55% of time)
-Strengthen and develop Creative Energies brand in its various markets
-Assist with community and nonprofit partnerships
-Organize outreach for prospective and existing customers
-Update and enable our company website
-Maintain a vibrant, purposeful social media presence
-Schedule and facilitate webinars
Professional Development: (3% of time)
-Participate in one or two training events per year focused on renewable energy technologies and marketing of solar services. Examples include Solar Power International conference and training offered by equipment manufacturers and distributors
-Experience leading a project, program, or campaign
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-A willingness to meet with solar homeowners, community leaders, and to attend events outside the typical 8-5 workday

-Ability to legally and safely operate a motor vehicle
-Ability to carry and set up equipment and materials
-Roles and responsibilities are subject to change based on organizational needs
Bachelor's Degree. Preferably in Marketing, Communication, or Advertising and/or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Travel and Work schedule:
40-hour workweek, generally 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Some out-of-state travel may be required.
The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Marketing Manager.
$18 to $20 per hour depending on experience
