Position Title: Sales and Marketing Team Lead

Base Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Classification: Full Time

Summary of Position:

The Sales and Marketing Team Lead position is responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, business development, maintenance and development of sales strategies, and supervision of the sales and marketing team members.


Sales Strategy Development (40%)

Duties Expanded:

Sales strategy development and tracking (40%)

-Develop sales strategies and goals

-Develop, oversee and maintain sales training and team practices

-Provide leadership, management, and accountability to the sales and marketing teams

-Track customer feedback

-Document and analyze bid losses

-Manage proposal template and other sales tools

Marketing Support (30%)

-Facilitate communication between Sales and Marketing teams

-Develop, oversee and maintain marketing training and team practices

-Enable marketing team to deliver strategy

-Assist with customer referral program

-Prioritize marketing tasks

-Determine marketing budget allocation for each sales territory

-Assist with customer testimonial process

Business Development (25%)

-Assist with and develop Blue Sky, USDA and other financed projects

-Assist with and develop community solarize programs

-Assist with RFP responses and grant writing

Professional development (5% of time)

-Participate in courses and training as time allows (such as classes through Solar Energy International)

-Attend relevant conferences as recommended by Integrator


-Ability to develop trust through authenticity and honesty

-Complete buy-in to the Creative Energies culture

-Proven track record of success in developing a sales team

-A commitment to excellent customer service from beginning to end

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with


-Competency in G Suite

-Able to work comfortably and thrive in a self-directed environment


Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field

Past sales experience

NABCEP credential preferred

Travel and Work schedule:

Individuals work with a flexible schedule, coordinated with other team members. Occasional travel including out-of-state and overnight will be needed for training, team member meetings and to support the Creative Energies sales team.

Reports directly to the Integrator. Supervises the Sales and Marketing Teams. Works closely with Project Management Team Lead, Procurement Team Lead, and Design Team Lead.
