Solar Advocacy

Throughout Creative Energies' 20-plus years, we have been advocates of solar energy. We strive to be a model of progressive business practices and a voice in local and regional renewable energy policy and education. We support local nonprofits that engage in renewable energy advocacy, environmental and social justice, and causes that reflect our team members' passion for the outdoors.

We are a Certified Benefit Corporation (or B Corp) and part of a community dedicated to business for good.

We are also an Amicus Solar Cooperative member company that advocates for climate justice and more public benefits.

B Corp: The Power of Business for Good

Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.

Our B Corp community works toward reduced inequality, lower levels of poverty, a healthier environment, stronger communities, and the creation of more high-quality jobs with dignity and purpose. By harnessing the power of business, B Corps use profits and growth as a means to a greater end: a positive impact on their employees, communities, and the environment. National Climate Justice Advocacy

Amicus Solar Cooperative advocates for climate justice and more public benefits. Amicus partners with climate justice advocates to create and support policies that increase equity and open access to clean energy for lower-income households and disadvantaged communities. Learn more about Amicus national campaigns in the Amicus Public Benefit Report.

We also support national renewable energy policies.

Solar is Clean Renewable Energy

Solar energy is a renewable energy source. It can be harnessed in all areas of the world and is available every day. Unlike fossil fuel sources of energy, we will never run out of solar energy. We advocate for solar energy and renewable energy policies at a local and state level. Our team members are passionate about climate action and sustainability. We collectively make a difference with solar for good.

In the first eight years of Creative Energies' history, we offered services in many forms of renewable energy; solar for mountain cabins, wind power for remote ranches, solar hot water heating, passive solar home design, ground source heat pumps, and micro-hydroelectric systems. But grid-connected solar electric (photovoltaic) systems became more reliable and more cost-effective than any of the other renewable options. We narrowed our focus to specialize in solar energy to provide the most benefit to our communities.

Today our focus is on residential, commercial, and public facilities as well as off-grid solar power.
