22 Design's Energy Needs

22 Designs is the world leader in telemark bindings. Founded in 2004, 22 Designs was named for its location along Wyoming Highway 22, which travels over Teton Pass, an area known nationally for its backcountry skiing.

In 2020, 22 Designs joined the Outdoor Industry Association’s Climate Action Corps and the Snowsports Industry Association’s ClimateUnited. They strive to be environmentally conscious by producing products that are made of the most durable materials made here in the U.S. Their office, R&D, and Assembly buildings are now powered by renewable energy.

The Creative Energies Solution

In December 2021, Creative Energies completed a roof-mounted, 13.26 kW solar energy system for 22 Designs to help power the production of the best telemark bindings in the world. So far, the system has produced about 930 kWh of energy, enough to have already saved 1,500 pounds of Carbon Dioxide emissions.
