Position Title: Marketing Specialist

Base Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Classification: Full Time

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8-5 in the Salt Lake City office, Friday work-from-home day

Summary of Position:

Creative Energies is looking for a Marketing Specialist to support our mission of empowering communities through solar energy. This role is responsible for executing marketing strategies, managing digital content, supporting brand awareness efforts, and assisting with lead generation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in content creation, social media management, email marketing, and data analysis to optimize campaigns.

Duties:

● Develop and manage the marketing strategic plan and budget, tracking effectiveness and adjusting as needed under the direction of the Sales & Marketing Team Lead.

● Ensure a consistent flow of qualified leads across UT and WY service areas.

● Manage and maintain Creative Energies’ brand across all channels.

● Develop creative content for the website, social media, email campaigns, and events to engage customers.

● Leverage data analysis to optimize campaigns and inform strategic decisions.

● Manage SEO, website updates, PPC advertising, and other digital marketing efforts.

● Plan and execute social events, ribbon-cuttings, sponsorships, and community outreach initiatives.

● Collaborate with internal teams to maintain brand consistency and support sales initiatives.

Qualifications/Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

● 2+ years of marketing experience in digital marketing, content creation, brand management, or related roles.

● Strong knowledge of SEO, PPC, Google Analytics, and digital marketing best practices.

● Proficiency in social media management, email marketing platforms, and website management (WordPress or similar CMS).

● Ability to analyze data and track key performance metrics to optimize marketing efforts.

● Experience with event planning, sponsorships, and community outreach is a plus.

● Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for content creation.

● Ability to collaborate across teams and effectively communicate marketing strategies.

● Passion for renewable energy and sustainability is highly desirable.

Travel:

Occasional travel, including out-of-state and overnight trips, may be required for training, team meetings, and to support Creative Energies' operations. Additionally, the role requires occasional travel to Wyoming for company events, community outreach, and marketing efforts. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.

Reports to/Supervises and Interactions:

The Marketing Specialist reports to the Sales & Marketing Team Lead. This position interacts closely with the sales team, project managers, accounting, company ownership and with field staff. Externally, this position interacts with existing non-profit partners, existing for-profit partners, potential future partners, customers, and vendors.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
